The green tea extract comes from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. Standardising to 50 % EGCG guarantees a constant content from one batch to the next, where a plain leaf powder varies with the harvest.
Berberine is an alkaloid found in the bark and roots of barberry, a shrub used in the Ayurvedic and Chinese traditions. A titration of 97 % corresponds to a highly purified extract.
The micronutrients
